Working together towards a regenerative and just future for Edinburgh.

What?

The Regenerative Futures Fund is a ten-year community fund for Edinburgh that puts decision-making power into the hands of those who are most often excluded. It supports approaches to improve the lives of people living in poverty and experiencing racism, and contribute towards a just green transition, by enabling equity, power-sharing and long-term change.

What people say about being involved

‘Being involved in this group... it’s like oh, my views do count, they could be important, I can make a difference and I’m not as invisible as I’ve been led to believe. It’s easy to get pulled down by it all, but you then see that you are not alone. This Fund is like a beacon of hope, this could have a huge impact if it’s channelled in the right ways.’

“The Regenerative Futures Fund is ambitious for a kind of change that meets that moment more intentionally and resources it by bending and pulling funding together at a scale that the city’s communities need.”

“I feel like I am contributing to something that might mean that the frustrations that I feel today are not going to be felt by others in 5 years’ time, or not to the same extent.”

“I liked the idea that we were forming something together that will be fit for purpose and that we can point to when people say that this isn’t possible.”

“I’m proud that we’re giving this a shot in Scotland.”
